HEAVEN'S SINNERS (The MC Sinners, #2) by Bella Jewel

Heaven's Sinners (The MC Sinners, #2)Heaven's Sinners by Bella Jewel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 STARS

Danny aka "Spike" is still in town after the event from Hell's Knights . His only goal is to seek revenge for his wife's death at the hands for MC/drug dealer Hogan. The only problem is that his wife Cheyenne's sister, Ciara won't leave him alone. Ciara is determined to make amends for how she treated Spike after his wife's death. She knows there's a good man down deep, since she was friends with Danny, way before he met her sister, who went after him just to take him from Ciara.

Danny is not only mad at Ciara for taking her parents side against him when Cheyenne died, but also because he loved her before he even knew her sister, but felt that Ciara had friend zoned him and he didn't know she had been in love with him.

I didn't dislike this book as much as Hell's Knights , but I didn't love it either. For me, the author spent too much time having these characters go round and round about who did what to who first. They both didn't tell each other how they really felt. They both lost time with each other because Ciara thought she would make a fool of herself and possibly lose his friendship if she told him how she really felt and he thought all women should come after him, which I thought was ridiculous.

I also don't like how the author makes these women so weak. I know that Ciara was used to being second best in her family's eyes, but the first time someone yelled at me or called me names like Spike does with her, I would walk away. There was no reason for anyone to know that he was trying to push her way because he really cared, but wanted to do this revenge thing. She should have had more self respect. She found it with her family, she should have found it with him. At every turn he did something to let her know she wasn't her sister until he didn't. Which was a total 180 out of nowhere.

What I did like was when Ciara showed her spunk. She found it in different ways and that was kind of fun. I also loved her relationship with Cade, Jackson and Addison. The sex in the book was really hot as well. I loved that they were both a little kinky and discovered that with each other.

I'm going to finish what I have of this series and read book #3, which I've been told is better. They do seem to get better and better. Not by much in my opinion, but they are very quick reads for me and I'm willing to give it another shot.

HELL'S KNIGHTS (The MC Sinners, #1) by Bella Jewel

Hell's Knights (The MC Sinners, #1)Hell's Knights by Bella Jewel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

2.5 STARS

Addison is running from her life, from a world that has used and abused her. But is what she running to strong enough to protect from her past? Cade Duke, VP of the Hell's Knights, sees something he wants in the long lost daughter of Jackson, his President, and the man who saved him from his past. He just has to get beyond her tough exterior to the girl who needs him.

When Addison finally gives into Cade, their chemistry if off the charts.

description

At the same time, Addison's past is catching up with her and someone from her present is all too thrilled to help it along.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. I have to say that the time period seemed to fly by. I mean one minute Addison has just arrived, then all of a sudden she's in deep with the MC's and talking about love. It just seemed the timespan didn't work. But I loved how Addison told it like it was. She had no room for not speaking the truth. She didn't trust easy either. Though her stubborns put her in jeopardy and she so easily didn't listen even when she knew she was in danger. But I can understand why she didn't tell Jackson everything up front. I didn't like how somehow Cade thought his story was much worse than hers. That was dumb. So hence my rating. Good and quick read, but not spectacular. Definitely not as good as a Reapers MC series or even what I ultimately liked in the Signal Bend series .

THE MANE ATTRACTION (Pride, #2) by Shelly Laurenston

The Mane Attraction (Pride, #3)The Mane Attraction by Shelly Laurenston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 ROARING STARS

Thrown together because best friend and pack member Ronnie Lee and Brendon Shaw are mated, as well as staying off the radar until the trial he's to testify is ready for him Sissy Mae Smith and Mitchell Shaw have become the best of friends. At least that's what they think. Everyone else seems to know what they both don't seem to realize. And that is, they are meant to be together. They are so much alike, both deriving pleasure in torturing others as much as engaging in risky behavior, like racing a car at top speeds, or tormenting someone verbally, yet funnily, into attacking. But, early on Sissy said that they would only ever be friends and Mitch, agreed.

Now that they are together in hiding in, of all places, Smithtown, because there's a hit out on Mitch which almost ended his life, they start to realized they compliment each other in all the ways that really matter. And the sex is off the charts.

This was so funny. I don't think there were more than two pages I went through without throwing my head back in laughter. From Sissy's handling of her brothers, the aunts and Dee-Ann getting into Sissy's business, to Mitch getting in the face of any male near Sissy and Mitchell and Brendon tussle with Ralph. Mitch's sarcastic humor had me in stitches. I loved the banter between Mitch and Sissy.

I can't wait to read the next in the series.

INTO THE STORM (Signal Bend, #3) by Susan Fanetti

Into the Storm (Signal Bend, #3)Into the Storm by Susan Fanetti
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 SHOWDOWN STARS

This is the continuation almost ten moths after Behold the Stars . Showdown has been living, or barely living, from the bottom of a bottle. He stays at the clubhouse, because he can't bare even think about his home after what happened to his family. Shannon has gotten into a grove of living in Signal Bend and running the B&B for Lilli and Isaac. She's got a huge crush on Showdown, and is finally seeing little inklings that he may be receptive to the vibes she's putting out. But when he shuts her down again, she decides she has to let it go, calling an old flame from Tulsa, and the only one who knows why she moved from the big sitting to the small town of Signal Bend, to help a girl out after months of celibacy and pining after a sexy biker man.

description

The Moment Show see's Shannon with another guy, he starts to wake up a little. It's time to start his life and he wants to do it with his girls knowing him, if Holly will get over her hate and let him back in. He also wants Shannon, and the way to do that is to let her in and tell her about his life and how he got to where he is today. But Shannon has secrets as well. Show has to be patient again and wait for things to unfold to get the girl and the life he really wants.

description

This book totally redeemed what happened in the first two books, for me. I was really disappointed with the direction that author took with Lilli in Behold the Stars and almost didn't read this book. If it weren't for my BR with my girl Vianca, who loved the first two books, I may have never come back to this series. Boy am I glad I did. Although after the intense drama and craziness of the first two books, this I would consider extremely tame, even a bit anticlimactic. I thought Shannon was going to potentially bring more danger to the town, but she didn't. What she did bring was very mild.

Showdown's memories of his Daze, were heartbreaking.

description

But the reason I'm giving this book 4.5 stars is because of Showdown. He was patient to the point of saintly. He was honest and direct. He was caring and loving. He was hot and sexy. He was the total package once he climbed his way out of his despair and misery, though it was understandable. He didn't push Shannon or even Holly, for that matter. Trying to get back into his "flower's" lives, at any cost, was beautiful. He never gave up. He did it in a way that let them know he wanted to be in their for them.

description

I know I loved Showdown more than Isaac. I just swooned whenever there was a love scene between he and Shannon. I loved the way he loved her, as well as the way he fought to protect her. He was dominate yet subtle. It was a great combination.

description

I'm now actually looking forward Alone on Earth , and more of the guys and their loves in Signal Bend.

THE BEAST IN HIM (Pride, #2) by Shelly Laurenston

The Beast in Him (Pride, #2)The Beast in Him by Shelly Laurenston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 CLAIMING STARS

When Bobby Ray Smith aka "Smitty" left home for the Navy, he left someone behind. A young wild dog shifter named Jessie Ann. Jessie Ann, how had the distinction of being Bobby Ray's sister, Sissy's, favorite punching bag. In fact most girls in town targeted Jessie Ann. Because female wolves did that, but mostly because she was a wild down in a town full of wolves.

Sixteen years later, Bobby Ray is working a job with his partner, Mace, only to discover that Jessie Ann is not only the Alpha to her Pack of over forty, but she's also the CEO of one of the fastest rising tech security company. She's made a lot of friends on her way up, she's well respected and it, basically out of Smitty's league. Everyone says it. But Bobby Ray is determined to make her his friend again.

Jessie Ann is having none of it. In order to protect herself from being hurt again like she was when Bobby Ray left town, in essence leaving her behind, she fight her attraction and emotions, trying to keep him at arms length. The more he tries, the more he realizes there's more to their relationship than friendship and once steaming hot sex is involved, there is no going back for Bobby Ray. He wants to claim Jessie Ann, bud doesn't seem to know what to do when she keeps turning him down.

I love these books. Shelly Laurenston writes hysterically funny yet sexy characters. I loved when Sarah Morrighan and Zach Sheridan's show up. It made me want to read Pack Challenge, Magnus Pack, #1 again.

I also loved when Jessie Ann proves to both Sissy and Bobby Ray, she's not the same wild dog who runs away from a fight. She knows how to take care of herself and will go anything to protect the pups in the pack.

Great fun. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

HOWL FOR IT (Pride, #0.5) by Shelly Larenston

Howl For It (Pride, #0.5)Howl For It by Shelly Laurenston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 - 4 HOWLING STARS

Like A Wolf With A Bone ~ If you want to know the back history of the Smith pack, then this is your story. How the Smith boys began their relationships and mated with the Lewis girls, specifically Egbert "Eggie" Ray Smith and Darla Mae Lewis. They will end up being the parents to Dee-Ann Smith from Big Bad Beast, Pride #6 . It was hilarious and sweet. One of my favorite parts of the book when Darla was asked if she was a polygamist instead of a pacifist.

Wed Or Dead ~ This was intense. I wish it had been a bit longer just to get more of the backstory. But I really liked it. The hotness starts from almost the very beginning. Just after Gage and Kayla's wedding. They are both hiding secrets that could destroy them. Once they decide to work together, they may just help change the future.

I liked both. I wanted more of Gage and Kayla and it was fun to see how some of the patriarchs in the Smith Family got together and why their offspring are so crazy. I rarely give intro storylines more than a 4, which why it's straddling a bit.

CARNAL SECRETS (The Phoenix Pack, #3) by Suzanne Wright

Carnal Secrets (The Phoenix Pack, #3)Carnal Secrets by Suzanne Wright
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

2 STARS

I read a book a while ago, when I was introspective and trying to learn more about myself, that said most people only think about themselves in a conversation or a situation. Example; If you have an argument with someone, do you know what is happening from their day which could have caused them to react in a stronger or more emotional way? This story is an example of just that, and it was annoying to read.

Shaya has left the Phoenix Pack, thereby running away from Alpha Pack Leader, Nick Axton. When they both realized they were mates, he walked away from her and acted like he didn't know her. This hurt Shaya so badly she realized that because the Packs were friends, she would be around Nick and she couldn't take his disinterest. Six months later, he's found her and wants to make amends and make her understand that although he walked away when he first realized she was his mate, he's not going to walk away again. He will do what he has to for her to understand that he will always be there for her.

But, Shaya never really asked Nick why he acted the way he did. I mean it kinda came up here and there, but she was so much more interested in her own feelings abandonment, she never really took the time to figure out what may or may not have happened to him to cause him to react the way he did when they first met. It took too long in the book and was annoying. It only came out in drips and drabs when others made her realize she was being a b**ch.

There is betrayal, conniving, backstabbing and mystery in this story, which is familiar in this series. It just wasn't enough for me to love it.

It was good to get some of Trey, Taryn, Dominic, Jamie and Greta again. They are always fun to read about, but Shaya and Nick kind of annoyed me and this one was a little boring for me. Kind of a bummer as I was looking forward to more of the series.

3.5 STARS

When Simone last saw Elliot, he was leaving her place after kissing her. Now they've run into each other again in the elevator at the offices. Simone talks him into joining her for the night (without out much effort) after finding out her old lover is now in love with his new woman. The evening is ELECTRIC, with both Simone and Elliot getting what they want from each other. But that's the problem, and it scares Elliot into backing away from her.

Now they are acting as strangers, not acknowledging each other if they cross each others path. But is that what Elliot really wants?

This one gave a little more insight into what's going on in Elliot's head. We also understand a little more about Simone. And most definitely their first sexual encounter was sexy.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

3 - 3.5 PINCH ME STARS

Simone Cooper has been watching Lawyer, Elliot Anderson through their office windows for quite a while. She knows she's not his type, but when a chance meeting in the elevator presents itself, Simone takes the opportunity to turn Elliot's world on it's ear. He doesn't usually go for women who look like Simone, but looks can be deceiving. She's not what he expects and he just can't get her out of his mind.

I liked the build up. Thought it was hot. (view spoiler) But, being a novella, there's so much more I want to know about these characters and especially why Elliot is denying what and who it is.

Diving into the next installment!

Behold the Stars (Signal Bend, #2)Behold the Stars by Susan Fanetti
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 - 3.5 STARS

Isaac and Lilli are together, she's home and healing. But they are still not safe. Lawrence Ellis is gunning for the Night Horde, the town, and people will die. Lilli and Isaac have to find a way to work together, the Night Horde have to learn to trust her instincts and the town must band together if they are going to survive this outside force ready to take them over and into hell.

description

description

There's also a traitor in their midst. Isaac knows there's only a few he can trust. When their families are targeted, retribution is exacted resulting in horrible acts of violence, crushing loss of precious life, and Lilli almost is almost physically and mentally broken.

I didn't love this one as much as the previous book. This was tougher to read. But that wasn't why I didn't like it as much. I didn't like what the author did with Lilli. She never listened, she took risks that weren't necessary and with her skills shouldn't have been so lax in her guard or too confident to think she was always doing the right thing. I mean come on...(view spoiler) What the heck was she thinking? I was so pissed I didn't know what to do. That's when it went from a solid 4 down to a 3 to 3.5. I'm still leaning more towards a 3.

Isaac was the only redeeming thing about this book. He was patient and thoughtful. He bent to her insane will and when she was hurting the was comforting and loving.

Going to take a break before moving on to the next book. Maybe I will come back to it. Not sure yet. I just think I the break.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 SH*T KICKING STARS

Lillian "Lilli" Accardo, after a lifetime of loss, moves to Signal Bend, Missouri for a job she has to do. She's been through a lot in her past and is all alone in the world until she comes to Signal Bend. She will have to learn to trust and let someone else in to help and try to protect her.

descriptiondescription

Night Horde Motorcycle Club President and town protector, Isaac Lunden is immediately attracted to this outsider, yet curious about her being there. Because no one moves "to" Signal Bend. Though he's not sure if she's there for he, his brothers and their meth protection operation, done to keep the failing small town afloat. Despite what she says, he can't stop himself for falling for this feisty, strong young woman.

description

Lilli and Isaac get close quickly and the thing he thought he would never want is the only thing he can think about. Keeping Lilli safe and maker her his old lady. But Lilli has secrets and until he can find out exactly what she's doing in town, he's not sure he can trust her, no matter how much he's falling in love with her.

But when Isaac's trust in his brothers is betrayed, his actions could the the thing that causes him to lose the woman he loves.

I loved Lilli at first. She was tough and strong. She knew her mind and could handle herself in any situation. Isaac, who was a big, country man, quick to temper, didn't know what to do with this woman who could not only stand up to him, but charm the pant off his MC bothers, who only thought women were good for one thing. She quickly gained the respect of most of them and held her own with those who didn't succumb to her charms quickly.

I loved most of this book. I loved the banter between Lilli and Isaac, whom called "Sport." I loved how she stood up to him and anyone else who got in her way. I loved how smart she was and I loved how she could adapt to almost any situation.

I loved how Isaac got her, fell for her and decided he was going to do everything he could to not only protect her from herself but also what was coming that could hurt her because of his business, and he was going to keep her, even if she thought she couldn't stay.

What I didn't love was (view spoiler). I also didn't love how Lilli was so competent, and she put herself in a situation that ended up being disastrous .

I loved her connection to Len and Isaacs connection to Showdown. When Show's family was in trouble it was tough to read.

I enjoyed this book so much I dove right into the next book Behold the Stars .

Slow Body Rock (Body Rock, #2)Slow Body Rock by Nora Flite
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC provided by Author for an honest review.

4.5 - 5 ROCK OUT STARS

This book is the continuation just after Hard Body Rock , when Lola wakes up after her first day and night as a full fledge member of Four and a Half Headstones. Things have changed with Drezden. He's more intense, if that's even possible, making Lola that much more confused and uncomfortable around him.

Drezden has decided he want's Lola, no matter the consequences. He also realizes during rehearsals that her fumbles while playing are a result of her reactions to him. But he also realizes that if he doesn't get to her before she hits the stage, he may lose her forever, to the fans and to her coming Rockstar status. Conflicted by what could happen when she becomes famous, he sets out to get what he wants, even if she's pushing him away.

"I don't know what my game is either," he whispers. "I only know the prize."

"You think I don't care? Lola, it's not about that! It's about being willing enough, strong enough, to take a god damn risk!"

Lola was my new addiction, and when she wouldn't allow me to have a hit, tobacco was all that remained.

"When did you become my drug?"
~ Drezden Halifax

I am waffling between giving it a full 5 stars or 4.5 because I don't know (I assume there will be) another book after this. I want another book after this! If she leaves me hanging and there isn't another one then its a 4.5.

I desperately want to know the same things that Lola wants to know...

Tomorrow, will we both be different people? What will he act like tomorrow? What will my life be like now? ~ Lola Cooper

There is a lot of internal dialogue and contemplation in both books of this series, which I don't normally like, but I can honestly say it doesn't distract from the story at all. Actually I think it adds to the intensity of what's going on between Lola and Drezden along with the alternating perspectives. I don't even feel like the other characters are being ignored, which can easily happen when you get so wrapped up in the world of two people discovering each other as well as themselves through there connection.

There is only one real sex scene between both of these books but when it happens the anticipation is so high, you can't help but get a little tingle. It was time and I, as the reader, was ready. All the foreplay before got me to the point I was shaking as much as I imagined Lola was.

description

description

I loved Lola's excitement over performing so well that even she knew she'd cemented her place as a Rockstar! I felt like I was at the concert, I was so excited for Lola.

description

The author did a great job, editing and there were NO spelling mistakes. Shocking I know. I don't see this seasoned authors with books published by established publishers. There were no slow moments when you just wanted to get through it. If anything I was reading too fast to get to what would happen next.

Good Job Nora. I will definitely read more from you, and PLEASE have more of Lola and Drezden's story. Thanks for the read, I enjoyed it immensely.

4.5 HEADSTONE STARS

Wow... I have to say when I saw the feed for this book, at first I ignored it. I mean, I have enough to read, Right?! Well, I kept getting alerts from the feed with people responding that they liked it and I can't resist a good Rock Star Romance. Now that I've read it, I can totally understand what everyone else, who'd previously read it, has been going on about.

Lola Cooper, nineteen year old little sister to Barbed Fire lead singer and guitar player Sean Cooper. She's acting as a roadie for the band, on tour as supporting act to Four and a Half Headstones.

description

When guitarist Johnny is thrown out of the band in the middle of the tour by lead singer Drezden Halifax (let me stop and say that is a freaking awesome name), they hold an impromptu audition for his replacement, which Lola wins, much to her surprise. She's learned from the best, her brother, but isn't confident in her own talent. When she blows the band away, she is thrown into dynamics she's not yet prepared for. What's with how Drez is treating her and why does she feel the way she does whenever he looks at her? Why did Sean recommend she audition if he seems so funny now that she's gotten the position?

But the biggest issue is that Drez is finding it harder and harder to talk himself into staying away from Lola, for the sake of the band, for his and mostly for her sake.

description

There is passion for the music, anticipation of an attraction, lust and anxiety. You read it and feel it in every line. I love the dual point of view of the growing attraction between Lola an Drezden. Both of them talking themselves out of what they feel and what they think they see in the other. The curiosity of their pasts is palpable.

All I can say is I'm going to dive right into the next book Slow Body Rock that the author has graciously sent to me. I love finding a new voice. It doesn't always work out, but in this case... It Worked!

4 STRONG DECK STARS

Deck has been in love with the same woman for almost fourteen years, he just didn't know it. He was too young and superficial to realize it. For the first five of those years, she was the best friend to the woman he thought was the love if his life, Elsbeth. And for the next nine years he was without her because he thought he was still in love with Elsbeth, who'd broken things off. That is until a chance meeting on the sidewalks of Gnaw Bone, when a voice he recognized immediately called his name, only for him to turn around and not recognize the beautiful woman walking towards him until she kissed his cheek and game him the dimple he could never forget.

At that moment, Jacob "Deck" Decker knew he'd been hung up on the wrong woman for fifteen years. That the woman who'd always been a friend, who he loved debating with, laughing with, and intellectually stimulated him, walked back into his life. That woman was Emmanuelle "Emme" Holmes. She looked different and he liked what he saw.

Though he wondered if he was that superficial that he didn't see the beauty before she was in her new package. They both realize eventually that they had been in a relationship almost like cheating on Elsbeth in front of her face without either of them knowing. The fact that he let Emme and only Emme use his real name. That he'd wanted to be around her, sometimes asking Elsbeth to call her for dinner. They would end up in their own world communicating with others around. But Elsbeth knew, which is why Deck had pulled away from Emme years ago before Elsbeth broke up with him and he lost Emme as well. But now that she was back in his life he wasted no time connecting with her, finding out everything about her and wanting her free of her relationship with a man Deck definitely didn't like. He wasted no time helping her come to the conclusion that Dane wasn't the man for her, and Deck was.

But there were things in Emme's past, that Deck knew about, but she wouldn't delve to far into, that gave him pause. Things he knew she wasn't dealing with and why she held herself away from people for the most part, and would made her pull away from him at times. But Deck finally finding the woman that fit him and he was meant to be with, was determined that nothing was going to take her away from him, not even her. He made it plainly clear when she was pulling away that he would grab hold and help her through anything that was happening.

So when Elsbeth came back into their lives, briefly, and Emme used that as an opportunity to pull away, Deck gave her space until he realized she was putting herself in a mentally fragile position by maintaining a connection with someone from her past who had hurt her. It wasn't until his anger with her broke her down to the point she could see it.

There was also Dane that needed to be dealt with and Deck was just the man to do it. He wanted Emme clear of anything bad that would touch her and that included Dane and his habit of being creepy.

I liked this one much more than Jagged , but I still feel like something was missing, just not as obvious as it was in Jagged . When the story jumps from (view spoiler) one thing to another, towards the end, I feel like old KA would have told more of what happened in the first person narrative instead of just having Deck tell Emme. Either way, I didn't miss it that much. There was enough love, excitement and suspense happening without that which allowed me to really enjoy the read.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 SCREAMING GOOD STARS

The story resumes three months after Storm Damaged after (view spoiler) Elizabeth breaks up with him, not telling him her secret and letting him think she betrayed him. But he no longer has any memory of "Liz" and is now sporting a cane to support the limp due to his accident. Gabriel does a great job of hiding his lost memory from her, until after he informs her he knows about the baby due to his sister Brianna telling him about their relationship.

Though Gabriel doesn't remember her, he still knows how to make her body sing and Elizabeth is helpless to deny him. Their passion is electric.

description

And as their relationship grows, you begin to believe they could make a go of it, if it weren't for them both being stubborn in their positions and not communicating. But too much has happened and they are both afraid of giving too much too the there for fear of loosing what that tentatively have.

Turns out Gabriel is not only a product of his upbringing, he's more like his mother than he even realizes, manipulating people and situations to get what he wants. When he finally does remember everything, he is more determined that Elizabeth will do and be exactly what he wants from her. A mother to their son and a wife to him, living in London, all while ignoring her needs and wants. Until things come to a head and Elizabeth decides she can only bend so far before she has to be the woman she is.

I was on pins and needles the entire time reading this book. There was HOT sex, there were machinations behind the scenes. There was attempted murder, surprising reveals, dismissals of loyal employees and friends and total intrigue.

After his accident, it was like Gabriel broke. He lost part of himself when Elizabeth left him in Storm Damaged . To the point that his same attraction to her wasn't as immediate as it was the first time around. He knew there was something about her that drew him in and he soon understood what it was about her that must have captivated him the first time, but it took a moment. At first it was all about getting what he wanted, and that was her to marry him to legitimize his heir. That soon grew into him wanting to protect her and the baby from outside forces and then him wanting her as his wife for always.

Once he regained him memory and again thought she had betrayed him, though she told him why she lied, he changed again and was more demanding and manipulative to keep her by his side.

Elizabeth on the other hand, was a little whinny, which is why I didn't give the book a full 5 stars. I loved that she had a plan in life and I appreciated that she worked hard and found it hard to adjust when life and love got in the way of that plan. But she just kept driving it home, which I believe made Gabriel more desperate to be manipulative and keep her the way he wanted her. I feel like she was adjusting to the idea of being a wife and mother, but his crazy schemes that always came to light, caused her to feel like she was being kept in gilded cage. I think she could have taken a little more time and care to make him understand her point of view, but then it wouldn't be this relationship if it wasn't for his Alpha ways her her determination to be her own woman and nothing like her mother.

I was freaking out on the last page. (view spoiler)

Magda does a great job with cliffy's. I don't like them, but in the case of this series, it definitely ratchets up my anxiety and anticipation for the next book. I want and need the next book so badly. I need to know what's happening next. Hopefully it won't be that long until the next book.

I DREAM OF JINNS (aka Jeanne-Claude and Eugene's Magic Lamp ) by Trinity Blacio

Jeanne-Claude and Eugene's Magic LampJeanne-Claude and Eugene's Magic Lamp by Trinity Blacio
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

ARC provided through NetGalley for an honest review.

That was terrible. It was like a run on sentence meets a stream of consciousness. It was all over the place and I barely got the gist of what was supposed to be happening. I won't be reading this author again. Sorry. I hate to be so harsh, but sometimes it just can't be helped. I respect all writers for putting themselves out there. This just isn't good.

THE CONSEQUENCES (Chronicles of Katrina, #4) by Karin Tabke

The Consequences (The Chronicles of Katrina, #4)The Consequences by Karin Tabke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 SPANKING STARS

I loved where Kat and Simon's relationship went sexually. Kat came into her own choosing to believe in Simon instead of what others were telling her and revealing about him. I like how she got the truth out of him and I like what Simon revealed about her. It was smokin' HOT!

description

I didn't really love the takedown and the ending was anticlimactic. But I'm willing to overlook it a bit for everything else that happened in the series. This should have been one book instead of four novellas. But to each his own.

I almost gave it 3.5 stars but I'm really rating the series overall here.

Check it out, it's worth the time. Quick, Easy and Sexy!

4.5 WHAT THE F**K STARS

I loved when she bit him and declared he was hers. That was sweet.

description

"Do you have any idea how much that scientist brain of yours turns me on ?" "It's almost as hot as your lush tits, your tight little ass, and that sweet little kitty cat of yours." "And these succulent lips. You're beautiful smile." He kissed her neck. "You're funny ands shy and vulnerable." "And sexy. You make me want to hold you, spank you, protect you, and make crazy monkey love to you." ~ Simon West

But all of the should I or shouldn't I, is making me a little crazy.I mean I get it base on her past and Simon keeps giving her little kernels that keep her thinking he's giving her more of himself. But she's got to get some balls and just say dude, figure out your life and let me know when you do. Cause this stuff is getting crazy. Or is Mandy just crazy? The good thing is that I have then next book because if I didn't I would lose my mind.

On to the final installment. Yay! And it's longer.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 DANG THAT WAS HOT STARS

I really enjoyed the first book and have been waiting with baited breath for all the series to come out before reading it because I was left with such anticipation after reading the first book. Basically I was pissed to discover it was a series with a major cliffhanger that I would have to wait to finish. Now that I finally have all the books and I finally have the time, all I can say is it was worth the wait.

I loved it. Do I think Kat jumps to conclusions? Yes! (view spoiler) So I get her rush to judgement and subsequent emotional breakdown.

I loved how they were at the bar and with Evan watching. I loved how they were later before the evening ended so abruptly.

I'm diving right into the next installment and I can't wait to read what happens next. I hope she kicks Evan and Genomtec's ass!

UNCOCKBLOCKABLE (Evan Arden, #2.5) by Shay Savage

Uncockblockable (Evan Arden Trilogy, #2.5)Uncockblockable by Shay Savage
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.5 COCKBLOCKABLE STARS

This is the story of how Nick, illegitimate son of Rinaldo Moretti, fell in love with Malina, a young Russian girl who happened to be the niece of Rinaldo's arch enemy.

Hilarious and HOT all at the same time. Not a bad combination. But missed reading more of Evan. Although I did enjoy Nick's perceptions of Evan from the outside looking in. Quick read.
