This book reminds me of the old fashioned adventure shows from the 1930's and 40's like Tarzan, Superman and Flash Gordon. Lots of adventure, a little over the top, but fun.I loved the relationship between Dr. Wilde and his kids. Concerned and caring, but also trusting them to be able to take care of themselves.
I like the idea that the family is famous for being adventurers, almost like Howard Hughes or Amelia Earhart reels that ran before films in the theaters in the 30's.
Fun for any boy who doesn't like to read.
