The first story, THE SCIENCE OF PLEASURE, was difficult to get through. It tried to be high angst, but it didn't quite work for me. Dr. Jenesis DeBruehl was so focused on a delivery system to fight cancer, that she didn't realize that the crazy scientist running her lab was using her system to genetically alter human beings. Seven years later, she's been hired by one of the Alfa's who was a result of the unsanctioned (yet actually sanctioned by the government) testing to try to either help them calm their lust and/or determine a way that the Morphates can be killed as they are currently immortal. She falls for Morphate Kincade Gregory and becomes his mate before and after the crazy scientist kidnaps her and injects he with the same gene as Kincade.

The story just seemed to be a little to predictable for me.

I liked PROJECT SEDUCTION, probably because I'm a woman of a certain age, and I would like to think that I could find someone as attentive and loving as Evie found in Jace. He loved who she was over what she looked like, even though he thought she was sexy. He didn't care she wasn't rail thin or plucked and primped within and inch of her life. She was a strong independent woman with curves and that turned him on. I liked that.

A PIRATE'S PLEASURE was the best of the three. The loves scenes where hot, but the rest of the story took too long to get going. I get that the author wanted to show that the pleasure prob had a prominent part in the story, but the to start with that was kinda strange. I found the probe funny later, but the beginning was kinda dim.

anyway, thought this was okay, but not great. was a quick read.
