THE MARRIAGE TRAP (Marriage to a Billionaire, #2) by Jennifer Probst

The Marriage Trap (Marriage to a Billionaire, #2)The Marriage Trap by Jennifer Probst
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I keep finding myself skimming the story. Not really my cup of tea. Maybe because I've read some amazing books in the recent past, that my patience for something that's too much fluff is on the lower end. Maybe its because I don't have much time. I don't know.

Maggie thinks that the only reason Michael turned her down for another date is because he's in love with her best friend, Alexa who married her brother. Although he tells her that's not the case, she doesn't believe him. How narcissistic can you be to believe the only reason someone doesn't want to be with you is because he loves someone else? What if he just doesn't feel it with you?

Anyway, this leads to lots of miscommunication and hurt feelings that aren't explained on both of their parts, but mostly by Maggie. Until all of a sudden she tells him all of her secrets. Even those she's never told her brother or Alexa. I found that strange as well. I get that she was starting to fall for Michael. But, she didn't think she was worthy of being loved, why would she tell such a big secret?

The books in the Marriage to a Billionaire series seem to follow the same script a little to closely for me. Also, are these guys billionaires? There's no reason to believe so other than the name of the series. Multimillionaire's yes. But billionaires? Because they own their own businesses?

Anyway, I think you get my issues. I don't need to go on. One more to read and them I'm done. No more of this series.
