Aubrey Hayes has a few weeks before her life will be over... well, not literally. But she needs to come up with an idea for a window display in the designer sexy lingerie shop she's been contracted to work, for the Holidays or she will be ruined. Then inspiration right into her hand in the form of a baseball-like card for a dream date. That dream date being in the form the hunky Detective Liam Flynn.

description

When Liam receives a call from Aubrey, he's not sure if his fellow officers are playing a joke on him or if his cousin who put him up for the date group went against her word when she said no one would see the card, and set him up anyway. Either way, Aubrey's voice intrigues him and he agrees to meet her for a drink. He's immediately attracted to her curvy hips and small waist, curly hair and confident ways, though he thinks she just might be a kook. Audrey knows Liam is an eleven to her seven, but that's not going to stop her from having fun with him.

description

Aubrey tells Liam that she believes his card, which landed in her hand after a gust of wind, was meant to be his muse. She proposes they have lots of sex for the next three weeks, which would spark her creativity and then go their separate ways. And boy do they... have lots of sex that is!

description

As time goes along, they get to know each other better and they both get more out of it then they bargained for. Will Aubrey come through with her window design, will she let Liam get closer to her than she ever thought? You will just have to read to find out.

I thought it was cute and funny. There were places that made me laugh so hard, I could barely breath. I loved Aubrey's outspokenness, her creativity, her drive and ambition. She was kooky and smart all at the same time. Liam was almost too driven, but being with Aubrey made him lighten up to the place that his fellow officers even started to like him more.

But, the story ended too abruptly. Not that any of it needed to drag on, it just felt like the ending was an afterthought. I liked it, which is why I'm giving it three stars, but it had so much more potential.
