Wow, that was good. Especially for a novella. I'm always reticent to buy, even when they are free because generally they don't tell enough of a story, but I have to agree with some fellow goodreads reviews that the characters that are in the story are well developed. At least enough to have me intrigued enough to want to read more.
I get Monica being so focused on her career she doesn't want anything to jeopardize it. She's had stumbling blocks and her friends and bandmates seem to be a part of it as well.
I really want to know what's going to happen with Monica and Jonathan. I find the way they meet to be very realistic. I live and work in the Hollywood industry and have seen this type of meeting a few times myself.
