THE OPPORTUNIST (Love Me With Lies, #1) by Tarryn Fisher

The Opportunist (Love Me With Lies, #1)The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All I can say is... WHAT TOOK ME SO FREAKING LONG TO READ THIS BOOK?!

I read a lot of book for pleasure and for work. I can honestly say I read the description of this book when it first came out and thought, "Ugh, some woman cons this guy into loving her again? Why do I want to read this?"... Boy was I WRONG!

This book is so much more. It's funny at times, heartbreaking at others. You want to scream at both Olivia and Caleb to just talk to each other. And I wanted to punch Leah in the face. I loved Cammie, who was always there as the voice of reason, but who could go off the deep end of crazy schemes and behavior with the best of them, in order to be there for her friend.

I love how snarky Olivia was when she first meets Caleb and how she was the only girl who didn't throw herself at him. Girlfriend had a plan and she was sticking to it, until he walked into her life. And everything they did was a total nightmare. Although they are both young, I'm a little upset with Caleb for not being more considerate of Olivia and how she's lost everything that ever meant anything to her and that's why she's not a open as he is. But being young and selfish on both of their parts and that crazy over the top love with everything heightened and how you are that age makes everything seem so desperate and overwhelming. I just wanted to sit them both down and give them good shake, and insight into both of their perspectives.

Thank you so much RomanceBookVixen for loaning me this book. I can't wait to read the rest in the series. This is now one of my favorite books. I'm going to be raving about it to anyone who will listen in the coming future.

WOW is all I can say. It ripped my heart out and all I want to do now is cry. But it's time to read the Leah's POV, as I spit three times to ward off evil... :-)

Why do I always lie? For real, it's like a disease

Like any girl, in her right mind, would let him get away--except me of course--but I have never claimed to be in my right mind.

"You're like a Percocet on a bad day, Libby."

"You're like a pair of six inch heels...all attitude and sexiness, but you make people feel uncomfortable just looking at you."

She says that he is as predictable as a virgin's period.
