WOW... so good, so sweet, so heart wrenching that I cried then laughed, then cried some more.

Having read the first story from Sky/Hope's point of view didn't keep me from loving the story from Holden's point of view. It was actually like reading it for the first time. Not once did I skim or skip ahead knowing what was going to happen. Holden's account pulled me in with another perspective that I had now idea about in Hopeless .

We never really knew why Holder came back from Austin. We never got to spend much time with Daniel as well. He was hysterical.

"So, I hope your ditching me Saturday night for cheese tits over there was worth it."
"Her name is Sky."
"Well I can't call her sky. Everyone else calls you Holder and I hate everyone else, so..."
I laugh. "Well they why do you call Valerie by her name?"
"Who's Valerie?"
"Val? you ex-girlfriend? Or current girlfriend. Whatever she is."
"No, man. Her name isn't Valerie, it's Tessa."
What the hell?
"I call her Val because it's sort for Valium and I always tell her she needs to take that shit by the bucketful. I wasn't lying whenI said she was fucking crazy."

Knowing how Les' suicide affected Holder so deeply and how his raw his pain was. His emotions on the surface at all times. How he wanted the best for Sky and put his emotional pain aside to tend to her, though she didn't even know she was going to go through it. His first thoughts were always for her.. Reading his journal entries, which was probably the best thing he could have done getting his feelings out. It was just heart wrenching. I cried several times unable to continue reading the screen of my iPad.

Colleen Hoover had done it again. She a phenomenal writer, carrying you into the story as if you are there. To the point that you don't want to put it down, to eat or sleep. I love her characters. She makes you want to reach out and comfort them in their time of need and laugh with them when they are funny.

Amazing job Ms. Hoover. Keep bringing us more amazing stories. I look forward to what you come up with next.
