My rating: 3 of 5 stars
ARC provided by publisher through NetGalley for an honest review.
I liked this book, because I like the characters. But this felt like a bridge book. And by that I mean, it felt like it was a bridge between the action and getting to know the characters in the first book to what I am anticipating will happen in the next (third) book.
I liked reading about Maryah and Nathan getting to know each other, Krista and Carson connecting, and the relationships between the kindrily, etc. I really hated how selfish Harmony was. Everything was about her. She made me nuts. But it was just a little boring. Nothing much seemed to happen. I wanted more action, but never quite got it.
I still want to read the next book, because I like the idea of the story. I just think this one fell a little more short that the first book in the series for me.
