Once I finished this book, I needed time to digest it and think about what I wanted to say without giving away too much. So here it is...
This book is heart and heartbreak, connection and loss, weakness and strength, it's a raging storm and stillness and calm. It will take you through the emotional gambit. I loved every moment of it. Although there were times when I was yelling... TELL SOMEONE, you will feel so much better. But I never felt like I knew the answers never having gone through anything like Callie or Kayden. You can't fault them for not telling people. How many stories have people heard of someone telling and not being believed only to end up dead later. Plus, they've both gone through this most of their lives. Holding onto the secrets and the pain, not knowing what to do with them, is all they know.
But Callie found Kayden and Kayden found Callie. When you would normally say for two people who are in so much pain to get themselves together before emotionally committing to someone else. But in their pain and struggle their emotional connection is what gave them strength and courage and ultimately Redemption .
Now there are a lot of grammatical errors which will hopefully be fixed by the time it's released. I also had one question, which I'm sure others will have as well once they read it. Its a big question of how one of them can support themselves and how they all, Luke, Seth, Kayden and Callie, can afford to do some of the things they do. Which is the only reason it's not getting a full 5 stars from me. More like 4.5. If it weren't for these couple of things I wouldn't hesitate giving it full 5 stars.
But that aside, the emotion and the relationships between them all are laid out on the pages of this book. Even Luke has moments you question what has happened in his home life. Seth and Callie together lead to some very funny moments. Emotional and poignant, but funny.
I love this series and can't wait for the next book. Hopefully it won't take so long between books for the next to be release.
