Firstly, let me say that I liked this one much more than the first. I just felt more for Holt and Mayson then I did for Kiera and Nathan. And funnily enough this was the second book in a row that I'd read where the woman get's pregnant after a one-night stand. Now this wasn't in the description of either book, so it was kind of interesting to read them back-to-back. But, I digress.
This was short, sweet and to the point. I got why Holt was concerned about his shady mother ruining things. I wasn't quite clear on how she could threaten or use Mayson and/or the baby, but I don't have a mercurial mind, therefore, I don't know what types of things people could get up to. But, I think Holt thought there was a read danger if his mother knew.
I also understood how Mayson could see the similarities in her potential relationship with Holt and her parents' marriage. No one wants to be a trophy to be used for business or propriety.
Anyway, they got it all together. Looking forward to Camryn's story.
