I don't know what to say. I'm sad that it's over. But I loved every moment of it. Reading how Will perceived how things happened and how he was feeling was just amazing. I loved reliving Slammed from his point of view and Lake's reactions to his telling of their story. I loved how the story went back and forth between the past and their present honeymoon, taking place just after Point of Retreat. As well as Will's interactions with Julia, the boys and Gavin when Layken wasn't around. Her discovering things about her husband she didn't know before and how he was feeling when they were apart.
So sweet. So lovely. I don't know what else to say. Other reviewers have said so much more than I can say. But I thought it was sweet, heartwarming and incredibly funny in a lot of places. I love how Will loved Layken, respected and loved Julia and took on her family as well as his own.
This Girl tells the story of Will's love for Layken as well as the ultimate love for his family and where they all end up.
Thank you, Colleen Hoover for closing out Will and Layken's story. You can do no wrong.
